Buying vintage is sustainable, and can be seen as an investment. Items should be reused as much as possible, and buying vintage is a way of supporting this ethos. In our disposable / throw away culture it is better to reuse, recycle and rethink what we would like to have in our homes. A beautiful vintage piece of furniture will last so much longer than a new flat packed piece of cheap furniture, as well as being unique to, and bringing a piece of history to your home. I believe that filling your home with beautiful pieces that you love can bring you joy and make you feel happier in your surroundings.
I love vintage furniture, so I really enjoy my job and love seeing the happiness that our pieces bring to customers. I started trading around 12 years ago, initially selling vintage clothing, then organically moving into selling vintage furniture. What I sell is influenced by my own taste, with a particular emphasis on Danish and Mid Century furniture, through to the 1970’s, but I’m not a vintage snob, so you will find earlier and later pieces! I’m inspired by good design and functional yet beautiful items, and I simply sell items that I like and hope that others will also like!
The name of the business was inspired by the photo of my Gran, sitting on a camel in Casa Blanca in the 1960’s!
I sell on various platforms such as Vinterior, Pamono, Etsy and Ebay, but having my own website means I can pass on savings to customers as I don’t have to pay fees to a third party, so I can offer better prices to customers here on my website.
