Description

Vintage French wooden double bed frame.

This is an antique French Louis XV style bedstead which has a curved head end and a curved foot end.

Both the headboard and footboard have a pretty carved flowers design. The bed frame is painted in cream. This style of bed is getting much harder to find as they are so popular.

The headboard and footboard are both upholstered in a beautiful fabric with studs and the padding is in good firm condition.

 

Comes complete with a firm bed base/slats. These are not original but provide a comfortable base for your own double mattress.

To fit a standard UK double mattress.

The frame comes apart easily for transportation and is very easy to put back together and is held together simply with 4 bolts.

H at top of headboard 121 cm.

H of top of the base of frame from the floor 22 cm.

Space for mattress 190 cm x 139 cm.

 

In good used condition, the frame is structurally sound. There are various general signs of wear, including some surface scratches, paint chipping, there are some holes in the mesh material at the bottom of the headboard, some of the studs in the upholstery are discoloured, please see photos. The upholstery itself is in good condition and is very firm and in good shape.

 

The bed will be dismantled for delivery.
