Impressive Danish Vintage Extra Large Skovby Extending Rosewood Dining Table, extending to 2.5m. There is no makers mark, but this model is attributed to Skovby.

With a beautiful rosewood grain on the top over a pedestal base. The top can be easily removed and replaced for ease of transportation and getting through smaller spaces.

An absolutely stunning piece of solid substantial statement furniture. This would be a super addition to any home, adding a touch of style as well as being very practical.

This cleverly designed and elegant table is relatively compact and space saving when unextended but features two additional leaves that fit in place to allow the table to be easily extended to accommodate extra diners. There is a storage ledge beneath the top, underneath the table, to store the 2 leaves in when not in use. These leaves give the table 3 size options.

Table – H 74 cm

When not extended 100 cm x 150 cm.

When extended with 1 leaf 100 cm x 200cm.

When extended with 2 leaves 100 cm x 250 cm.

 

 

 

In good used vintage condition, the table is structurally sound. There are minor signs of wear, some surface scratches, marks and scuffs. There is also a small crack along the base joining the feet, this is not structural so does not affect use and is barely noticeable. Many of the dowelling pins to adjoin the table and extension leaves are missing. This does not affect use, the leaves are still held in place by the table, please see photos, these form part of the description. One of the extending leaves is a little darker than the rest of the table and the other is an almost perfect match to the rest of the table.
