Highly desirable Vintage Bookcase designed by Robert Heritage for Beaver & Tapleys “multi-width” range, in Afromosia.

There are 2 adjustable shelves at the top with sliding glass doors. Underneath is a cupboard space with brass handles on the sliding doors.

A stunning multi-width vintage display cabinet/ bookcase. Designed by Robert Heritage and manufactured by Beaver & Tapley.

A beautiful piece of furniture, constructed from solid afromosia and afromosia veneers. Very desirable and very functional.

Featuring two sliding glass doors and adjustable shelves offering plenty of room for displaying your books and favourite pieces.

In used condition, the bookcase is structurally sound. There are some signs of wear to the wood, some scratches, marks and scuffs. Also some noticeable water marks on the shelves, please see photos, these form part of the description.

The Beaver & Tapley “Multi-width” range is a collection of modular furniture designed by Robert Heritage for the modern home. The range was designed to be flexible, allowing customers to create their own furniture arrangements.

The pieces are separate but complementary in design

They can be arranged together or apart

The pieces are functional and can be used in a variety of ways

Cocktail cabinet: A large, illuminated cabinet with a Formica-topped mixing platform

Corner cabinet: A rotating cabinet for storing bottles and glasses

Bookcase: A wide but shallow bookcase with a glass front and double lower cupboards

Bureau: A fall-door bureau with pigeon holes for papers

The range has a Scandinavian “form and function” influence with sleek, clean lines. It also has more traditional design elements, such as the cut of the legs and brass handles on the lower sliding doors.
