Vintage Metamec Sunburst Teak and Brass Wall Clock

The Clock is not in working order.

An iconic 1960s vintage sunburst / starburst wall clock by mid century British manufacturer, Metamec. The clock is in good original condition, with its original German ‘Kienzle’ battery movement.

The clock has a silver face with typically 60s black numerals edged with gold, covered in domed glass. The original hands are black and brass metal, with a sweeping brass second hand. The face is inscribed with ‘METAMEC’ and ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’. The brass and teak rays are secured to the black plastic backing, which is also marked with ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’. The movement has a speed adjuster, and takes a LR14/C size battery. There is some patina on the brass and the glass cover is slightly loose, but this doesn’t affect use.

The clock is not in full working order, it has been used as a decorative piece.

It works intermittently then seems to stick, it had been working fine until this happened, so it may be an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing!
